Jayam Ravi has not been responsible for a successful film in quite some time, with the exception of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, which is essentially a film that stars multiple actors. It appears that Ravi’s latest choices have failed to meet expectations, despite the fact that he is known for selecting screenplays that are engaging. The latest film from Jayam Ravi and Keerthy Suresh is about to make its debut on an online streaming service. The film, which also stars Samuthirkani, Anupama Parameswaran, Azhagam Perumal, and Yogi Babu, was initially released in theaters on February 23 and received mixed reviews upon its initial release. “The crime thriller,” in which Jayam Ravi plays the part of an ambulance driver turned prisoner who is given the opportunity to be out on parole after being wrongfully convicted for a period of fourteen years, will make its debut on Disney+ Hotstar beginning on April 19, 2024. Anupama Parameswaran also plays a significant part in the film, and Yogi Babu will not be seen merely tickling the funny bones as a comic.
Instead, he will be seen performing a key role with Samuthirakani, who plays a prominent character. Through the OTT release, the film “Siren,” which was initially released in Tamil and Telugu, will also be made available on the digital platform in the languages of Malayalam and Kannada. This would allow the film to reach a larger audience.

Director Antony Bhagyaraj, whose credits include Annaatthe, Viswasam, and Hero, is helming the film Siren for the first time. In an interview with OTT Play, he discussed donning the director’s cap and stated, “I had always harbored ambitions of becoming a filmmaker.
That fateful turn of events led to my becoming a writer. It was never my intention to become a writer. Ruben, an editor with whom I have collaborated on a number of films, eventually encouraged me to pursue a career as a writer. “Fortunate as it turned out, it enabled me to collaborate with eminent directors.”
Antony added, in reference to Keerthy Suresh’s participation prior to the OTT release of Siren, “She inquired of me the same thing.” During the composing process, I had already determined that this character should be female.
A conflict exists between a male and a woman. I intended to depict a woman of strength, not arrogance. Additionally, I had no intention of undertaking a double hero subject. It was extremely difficult for me as a writer to depict a woman with the same strength as the protagonist.
Siren Movie Story
Thilagavarman (Jayam Ravi) gets released on parole after serving a 14-year prison sentence for a wrongful conviction of murder. Meanwhile, Inspector Nandhini (Keerthy Suresh) resumes her duties following a suspension resulting from her supposed participation in the death of a man due to torture while in custody. Soon after Thilagan’s release on parole, a sequence of fatalities takes place.
Nandhini gathers information suggesting Thilagan’s involvement, but lacks conclusive proof to apprehend him. Furthermore, there is a secondary storyline that revolves around Thilagan’s daughter, Yuvina Parthavi, who holds deep-seated anger against him and strongly dislikes any reference to his name. Will Thilagan be able to mend his relationship with his daughter? Has he perpetrated all the homicides? What was the reason for his incarceration? What was the underlying reason behind these homicides? The film provides answers to these questions.

Keerthy Suresh is promoting her forthcoming Telugu flick Dasara after starring in several films and languages. She released Dasara in 2023, her debut film. In addition to Siren and Dasara, she has good films like Bhola Shankar, Mamannan, Raghu Thatha, and Revolver Rita.
She began her career in Malayalam but became famous in Telugu with various charters. She has been making films in several languages, but her latest Telugu flicks like Karthikeya 2 and 18 Pages were hits. She was recently seen in Butterfly, a Hotstar film.
