Actor Nithiin is a role model for many up-and-coming stars in the Telugu cinema industry since he refused to give up on acting despite his career’s string of setbacks and made a triumphant return with 2012’s ‘Ishq.
Since then, he’s been pickier than ever about the scripts he chooses, but he still hasn’t avoided failure entirely; recent box office bomb Macherla Niyojakavargam is only the latest example.
Macherla Niyojakavargam follows the anarchist Rajappa (Samuthirakani), who has taken control of the lawless village of Macherla in the Guntur region of Andhra Pradesh. Siddharth Reddy (Nithin), now an IAS officer, is given control of the village. Siddharth Reddy develops romantic feelings for a female companion, and she develops the same feelings for him. Despite this, Siddharth still occasionally runs into trouble with Rajappa.
Directed by M.S. Raja Shekhar Reddy, with cinematography by Prasad Murella and music by Mahathi Swara Sagar. In addition to Nithiin and Kriti Shetty, the cast also features Anjali, Samuthirakani, Rajendra Prasad, Murali Sharma, and Vennela Kishore.
