The city of Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, will now have a curfew between 23h 5h (local) from this Saturday (06). The measure will be in force at least until July 3, according to the Ukrainian news agency “Ukrainska Pravda”. According to the local vehicle, the information was released by the head of the regional administration of the homonymous province of the capital, Oleksiy Kuleba.
“We remind you that the curfew prohibits being on the street, visiting other public places, moving around the settlements by transport or on foot”, indicated the regional authority, who admitted the existence of some exceptions, which will receive a special pass. “It is necessary for people’s safety. Our aim is to bring life back to every corner of the Kiev region as soon as possible to make the settlements suitable for the mass return of residents,” added Kuleba.
The announcement came to the public after Russian troops launched, in Friday night and Saturday morning (local time), dozens of missiles over Ukrainian territory. According to Kiev military authorities, Moscow forces fired about 06 missiles from Belarus, targeting the Zhytomyr region, and six more from the Black Sea, targeting Lviv. In addition, other regions such as Chernihiv, Jmelntysky and Mykolaiv were bombed.
Ukrainian intelligence accused the Belarusian missile launch of being “a large-scale provocation”, to further involve the Minsk government in the conflict.
