New revelations have surfaced following the arrest of iBomma website administrator Ravi, shedding light on his citizenship status, financial transactions, and alleged large-scale piracy operations.
According to police investigations, Ravi renounced his Indian citizenship in 2022 and obtained Caribbean citizenship the same year by reportedly paying around ₹80 lakh. Since then, he has been residing in the Caribbean Islands.

Return to India After Two Years
Investigators revealed that Ravi returned to India just three days ago, reportedly with the intention of selling his properties located in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. He had allegedly entered into an agreement with a private real estate firm for the sale of these assets.
Marriage and Technical Expertise
Police also confirmed that Ravi had married a Muslim woman prior to 2022. Known for his strong technical skills, Ravi is believed to be the key mind behind the creation of iBomma, one of the most notorious piracy platforms in recent years.
Massive Piracy Operation Exposed
During the investigation, police found that Ravi used DRM-breaking technology to hack and upload OTT content. He is accused of sourcing pirated content from Movierulz, converting it into HD, and distributing it through a network of nearly 60 websites that he created solely for illegal content streaming.
Authorities estimate that Ravi may have earned hundreds of crores through these piracy operations. The investigation also revealed that he lived a luxurious lifestyle in the Caribbean, funded by the proceeds of his illegal activities.
Arrest and Legal Proceedings
Ravi was arrested by the police in Kukatpally, Hyderabad. After being taken into custody, he was shifted to the CCS (Central Crime Station) for detailed interrogation. Once crucial information was extracted, he was produced before the Nampally Court, where the judge remanded him to judicial custody. Ravi is currently lodged in the Chanchalguda Central Jail as further investigation continues.
