In a major leadership shake-up at Eternal Limited, founder and Group Chief Executive Officer Deepinder Goyal has announced his resignation from the CEO role, effective February 1, 2026. The company, which operates notable digital platforms including Zomato and Blinkit, confirmed the transition in a regulatory filing on January 21, 2026.
According to the company’s announcement, Albinder Singh Dhindsa, currently CEO of Blinkit, has been appointed as the new Group CEO of Eternal. Dhindsa will assume responsibility for day-to-day leadership, strategic execution, and operational priorities as Eternal enters its next phase of growth.
In a letter to shareholders, Goyal stated that his decision to step down was driven by a desire to pursue new, high-risk ideas and innovative projects that fall outside the strategic scope of a public company. While relinquishing the CEO role, he will remain involved with the company as Vice Chairman of the board, subject to shareholder approval.
The leadership change comes at a time when Eternal has reported robust financial performance, including a significant rise in revenue and profits driven by strong demand in quick commerce and food delivery services.
Industry observers view this transition as a strategic realignment designed to maintain focused leadership while allowing Goyal the flexibility to explore new ventures beyond the company’s core operations.
