At its core, Alappuzha Gymkhana is a coming-of-age sports drama centered around five inseparable friends from Alappuzha. Having just completed their higher secondary examinations, only one of them Shanavas manages to pass.
The others face the harsh reality of limited academic prospects. In a bid to secure college admission through alternate means, Jojo discovers that the sports quota might be their golden ticket, and boxing becomes their unexpected path forward.
The group enrolls at the Alappuzha Gymkhana boxing school under the watchful eye of coach Salim. However, not all members stay the course. Shanavas drops out early, and DJ switches to wrestling. The remaining trio gets a new mentor in Antony Joshua, a seasoned and fiery boxer preparing for a major tournament.
Under his rigorous training, the team sets its sights on the district championship, hoping to make it to the state-level event. But the road to glory is anything but smooth. Jojo and others lose their matches, and their teammate Deepak quits after being threatened by rivals. Chaos ensues when Antony reacts violently, disrupting the tournament.
Disillusioned, the team walks away only to later defend their pride in a street brawl. Back in their hometown, love blossoms as Natasha confesses her feelings to Deepak, reigniting the group’s passion. United again, they resolve to return stronger the next year—with Jojo stepping up as their team manager.
