Sam Bahadur OTT release date: When and where to watch this biographical war drama starring Vicky Kaushal plays the lead in Sam Bahadur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra

‘Sam Bahadur’ has at long last been made available on over-the-top (OTT) platforms. There were successful days for the film at the box office, despite the fact that it competed with Ranbir Kapoor’s “Animal” on December 1. On January 26, ‘Sam Bahadur’ will be available to watch on Zee5, in the event that you were unable to see the movie in theaters.

Sam Bahadur OTT Release Date

Sam Bahadur is set to premiere on Zee5 on 26 January 2024.

Director Meghna Gulzar discussed ‘Sam Bahadur’s’ release on OTT. She stated, “Making this biographical drama film has been a life-changing experience for me, and I consider it a blessing. Sam Bahadur’s story will be an encouragement to those who witness it.

Vicky Kaushal was the right fit for the part, falling into it with unparalleled honesty and passion. I am a staunch believer that principles and role models are ageless, and that a life lived in truth, justice, and integrity will never go out of style or time. I am extremely delighted to share this unreported story to a wider audience via ZEE5, and I hope it resonates with them as much as it did with myself and the entire Sam Bahadur team.”

When and Where to Watch Sam Bahadur

You can watch this biographical war drama on Zee5 on 26 January 2024.

Meghna Gulzar’s last film, ‘Chhapaak’, was a catastrophe, despite the fact that it was based on several true-life cases of acid assaults on women in the country. People in India reacted negatively to the film because Deepika Padukone, who played the lead, backed the protests at JNU. Critics panned the film for a variety of reasons, and it bombed at the box office, earning very low IMDB ratings.

One of the roles that Vicky Kaushal has previously played was in the movie “Raazi,” which was directed by Meghna Gulzar. Following the tremendous success of the film Raazi, Meghna made the announcement that she would be working on the Sam Bahadur project. Subsequently, she moved on to the production of Chhapaak, while Vicky Kaushal was preoccupied with his other projects.

Vicky Kaushal gives a genuine, albeit unimpressive, performance. Throughout the most of the movie, he feels overpowered by his attempt to imitate Sam Bahadur. It all seems a bit sketchy, from his gait to his mannerisms to the way he would bend down or pucker his lips. However, there are other times when he breaks through the gloomy clouds of illogical writing. The editors and writers who wrote strong scenes but were unable to bring them together are to blame, not the performer.

Two significant female characters in the movie are Sanya Malhotra, who plays Sam’s wife, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, who plays Indira Gandhi. Despite their extreme differences, they were connected by the guy who centered their lives. Their performances both shine through the murky seas, but Sanya’s stands out in particular since she frequently conveys her dissatisfaction and exasperation through heartbreaking pauses and seemingly confused looks at her spouse.

Sam Bahadur is a good movie technically. The main scenes’ tone is enhanced by the background music. The make-up, costumes, and set design departments all do exceptionally well. It would be nice if the writing and directing matched the technological counterpart.
