Rohini is very choosy with the scripts after she started her second innings as an actor. She is now coming up with a new movie titled ‘Witness’ alongside Shraddha Srinath which has undergone shoot for last few months and gearing up for a direct digital premiere now.
It is focused on the topic of manual scavenging, which is both timely and relevant. Actress Rohini portrays the distraught mother of a young man who tragically dies after engaging in the repulsive occupation. The film centres on Shraddha’s character, a young woman who battles the unfair legal system in order to help her mother.
The film’s script was written by Muthuvel and JP Sanakya, and it was funded by TG Vishwa Prasad. The project’s music and editing were taken care of by Ramesh Thamilmani and Philomin Raj, respectively. Subatra Robert, Shanmuga Raja, Azhagam Perumal, and Tamilarasan are featured prominently in the drama Witness.
On December 9, Witness will be available on SonyLIV. The group just recently released the trailer for the film, which gives an overview of the plot. Lyrics for the film were written by Kabilan, and Sathish was in charge of art direction. The last film in which Rohini appeared was Meet Cute, which was released directly on SonyLIV and was one of several Rohini-starring films from 2022.
