Vegan restaurants gain strength in pandemic with options for different pockets – 04/11/2020 – Restaurants

World Vegan Day, celebrated on November 1, may have passed. But the movement for a lifestyle without animal products only grows stronger year after year, with the increase in the supply of dairy products and meat alternatives that are as creative as they are tasty. Think chestnut cheese, vegan tuna, and vegan pepperoni.

In the capital of São Paulo, several houses specializing in meatless and meat-free dishes have reopened their lounges to customers. All of those listed below always have a delivery option – in one case, including environmentally friendly packaging.


Green banana
Created by chef Priscilla Herrera, the dishes are mostly vegan – but there are vegetarian options as well. The red mushroom risotto (R $ 48), made with dried pears, chestnuts and walnuts, is a delight. The coconut delight with plum sauce is a good way to end (R $ 9).

In a gallery on Place Paissandu, the place serves good bread at affordable prices. The Atlantis costs R $ 30 and takes black rice, funghi, endive barge, vegan tuna, garden fish, and rosemary pumpkin.
