According to the forecast of local authorities, the situation is expected to intensify on Sunday night and the flooding in the region could be worse than those recorded in the previous year.

According to Reuters news agency, more than 200 millimeters of rain fell in several areas, with some reaching 350 millimeters. The Australian Government Department of Meteorology warns of flood risks along the Nepean and Hawkesbury Rivers.
This Sunday alone, there have already been about 2,000 requests for assistance and 29 people rescued from flood waters, including a woman hanging from a pole. The body of a man who fell from a kayak was rescued in Sydney Harbor.
