Terrorist who participated in Paris attacks sentenced to life in prison

The main accused of participating in the terrorist attacks of 2015 in Paris and Saint-Denis, Salah Abdeslam, was sentenced this Wednesday (29) to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

The Paris Criminal Court also sentenced another of the main defendants, Mohammed Abrini, to life imprisonment with a minimum term of

years old.

Abdeslam was the only survivor of the nine-member group that carried out the attacks, while Abrini was part of the group that traveled from Brussels to Paris to also commit them. them, but at the last minute withdrew from participating. The other defendants were sentenced to sentences ranging from life imprisonment to four years in prison.

The court found guilty all 29 defendants who for almost ten months gave testimony for involvement in the jihadist attacks of of November 2015 who killed 130 people and injured hundreds in and around the French capital. Convicts have a period of ten days to appeal against the decision.
