Sukhee OTT release date: When and where to watch this comedy drama starrer Shilpa Shetty, Amit Sadh

After receiving a lackluster reception at the box office, Shilpa Shetty’s female-centric comic drama ‘Sukhee’ is getting ready to make its debut on an online streaming service. Sonal Joshi will be directing her first film, “Sukhee,” which will debut on Netflix on November 17, 2023.

Sukhee OTT Release Date

Sukhee is all set to premiere on 17 November 2023 on Netflix.

Sukhee might have highlighted the value of homemakers and the solidarity that exists among women if it had included layers such as female friendships, a successful homemaker in Punjab, and a reunion that takes us back in time.

However, it fails to maintain the story’s momentum and foregoes opportunities for exposition and key moments to emphasize feminism. Unfortuitously, Sukhee ends up becoming a lackluster addition to that list, as one of Guru’s friends humorously points out, and “There are too many films on feminism,” and “There are too many films on feminism.”

When and Where to Watch Sukhee

You can watch this comedy-drama on Netflix on 17 November 2023.

As a director, Sonal Joshi is astute because she is aware of the aspects of our reality that need to be captured on film in order to effect change. However, the issue of sanitization must to be addressed. There is no way that the restroom at the bus stop in town is this spotless.

Also, she makes an attempt to include Easter eggs while casting Kiran Kumar as Sukhee’s father, despite the fact that he is still upset with her for eloping (a reference to the movie Dhadkan). However, nothing seems to have been updated in a while, and the fact that it’s all for show just makes things more challenging.

The music is unremarkable, and T-series has once again chosen to ruin one of Ali Sethi’s performances by producing a version that is even less impressive than the original. You cannot rely on Ayushmann Khurrana alone to safeguard Chan Kitha’s fortune; he is far too wealthy for that.

What’s the story of Sukhee

A comical slice-of-life story about Sukhpreet “Sukhee” Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife who, dissatisfied of her regular living, travels to Delhi to attend her high school reunion. The story is told from Kalra’s point of view. Sukhee goes back in time to her teenage years while going through a range of experiences in the span of just seven days. As a result, she emerges rekindled, reborn, and undertaking the most difficult transition of her life—going from being a wife and mother to being a woman once more. During this time, Sukhee also makes a difficult transition from being a wife and mother to being a woman.

Cast & Crew of Sukhee

Shilpa Shetty, Kiran Kumar, Amit Sadh, Chaitanya Choudhry, Pavleen Gujral, Kusha Kapila, Dilnaz Irani, Vinod Nagpal, Sejal Gupta, Jyoti Kapoor, Sushma Prashant, Anjali Sharma, Purnima Rathod, and Maahi Jain are some of the actors who appear in it. Sonal Joshi, who is also the director, is in charge of Sukhee. Paulomi Dutta is credited with writing the script, while Radhika Anand is credited with writing the story. Rupinder Inderjit is the one responsible for writing the dialogue. R. Dee is in charge of photography, and Vini N. Raj is the editor for this project.

Even though Shilpa Shetty possesses a screen presence that is entirely her own and that is the reason why she has been popular for so many years, Sukhee appears to be unreal for the majority of the first half of the film. She works as a housewife in a rural community known as Anandkot, but she always appears to have a flawless face full of cosmetics and blush when she wakes up.

Even though her daughter has instructed her to prepare kebabs, her nails are perfectly manicured and in pristine condition. This is all occurring in a rather tiny place. The actor tries too hard to make Sukhee a weak lady, and while he is successful to some level in doing so, it does not appear to be something that comes naturally to him.

The best section, in terms of writing, has been reserved for Chaitanya Choudhry. An adult male who acts like a child and believes that he is entitled to the best things in life and that his wife is to blame for everything that goes wrong in his life. Every day, we come across men in this situation; I may be one of them. one that he has the impression is real, as opposed to one that was written for the screen. The performer gives his performance his absolute best effort at all times.

At this point, Kusha Kapila’s role as an extension of her social media avatar is something that comes quite effortlessly to her. On the other hand, Dilnaz Irani and Pavleen Gujral ultimately end up being nothing more than checkboxes on a checklist that Sukhee needs to use to push herself.

Their issues are brought up in a couple of situations, but they are never really investigated. Amit Sadh has emerged as the doting father figure the Internet so desperately needs, and his performance in this role is just lovely.
