Sensex increases by 319 points, Nifty exceeds 13,700; ONGC shares, Bharti Airtel rose | Sensex up 529 points, Nifty ends at 13,749; Axis Bank and Sun Pharma shares rose

Shares of ONGC, Reliance, HDFC, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma rise, shares of Infosys, Nestle, IndusInd Bank, Dr. Reddy’s Labs, HCL Tech fall

Indian stock markets closed higher today. The Sensex rose 529 points to close at 46973. The Nifty rose 148 points to close at 13,749. Shares of Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, ONGC, Reliance, HDFC and others closed higher on the Sensex . Axis Bank rose 3.04 percent to close at 610.35. Sun Pharma rose 2.67 percent to close at 589.85. However, shares of Infosys, Nestle, IndusInd Bank, Dr Reddy’s Labs and HCL Tech closed lower. Infosys fell 1.32% to close at 1236.35. Nestlé fell 0.78% to close at 18,577.95.

Buy in Asian markets
Today, Asian markets are trading at 26,408, with the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index gaining 64 points. Japan’s Nikkei index is up 120 points to 26,645. The Shanghai Composite Index in China lost 7 points to 3,375.

Rising US markets
US markets saw a rapid rally on Wednesday. The Dow Jones index rose 114 points, or 0.38%, to 30,129. Likewise, the S&P 500 index also rose 2 points to close at 3690. The Nasdaq, on the other hand, fell 36 points to close at 12,771.

Heavy buying in European markets
The European market was buying a lot yesterday. France’s CAC index rose 60 points (1.11%) to close at 5,527. Germany’s DAX index closed 169 points (1.26%) up at 13,587. That, the UK FTSE index also rose 42 points to close at 6495.
