What is Rob Walton’s Net Worth?

S. Robson Walton sometimes referred to as Rob Walton, is an American businessman and the eldest child of Sam Walton, who founded Walmart. The total wealth of Rob Walton is $61 billion. Rob was a key player in the management of the Walmart company and served as Chairman from 1992 to 2015.

He is also a Walton heir. Few of his brothers and fellow heirs have ever worked at Walmart, thus this distinguishes him from them. Rob has been among the top 15 richest persons in the world in recent years.

Car Collection

Rob Walton is known for keeping his personal affairs private and avoiding the spotlight. Rob is widely renowned for his collection of old sports vehicles, despite this. Walton reportedly owns a Ferrari 250 GTO that is valued between $35 million and $52 million. He also owns a 1965 Shelby Cobra, which is worth about $820,000 on average.

While his Ferrari 250 GT SWB is worth roughly $4.1 million, his Ferrari 250 LM is currently valued at $14.6 million. We also know that Rob paid $12.1 million for a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa in the past. On the open market today, this model is valued at almost $40 million. He also just added a 1960 Maserati T60 and a 1958 Scarab MKI, all of which are noteworthy additions.

Rob established a new record for the highest price paid for a single vehicle at an auction when he paid $12.1 million for his Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. Unfortunately, the fact that he purchased it overseas created a small problem. Walton was prepared to pay the standard import fee of 2.5%, as planned by U.S. Customs. Rob’s attorneys attempted to get the car duty-free status by claiming it was a collectible. Rob had to pay a $303,000 import duty because U.S. Customs determined that his valuable Testa Rossa would be classified as a “regular” automobile.

In case you were wondering, a 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista costs almost the same as $303,000. Rob Walton, on the other hand, presumably didn’t worry too much about this import duty because he makes that much from his Walmart dividends in little under an hour.

Career

Walton joined the law firm that defended Wal-Mart after receiving his degree. Walton moved from Tulsa to join Wal-Mart in 1978 as a senior vice president. In 1982, he was promoted to vice-chairman. Two days after his father’s passing in 1992, he was appointed board of directors chairman. From 2008 to 2013, he and his siblings donated roughly $2 billion to the Walton Family Foundation.

He joined a legal company and worked there in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at Conner and Winters. Later, Walton quit the corporation to work for his father’s business. He held the positions of vice chairman, senior vice president, secretary, and general counsel at Walmart.
