Russia used Iran's missiles and drones in bombing raids on Ukraine, says Kiev

Russia used 43 missiles and 17 Iranian-made drones in the bombings carried out this Monday (10) against several cities in Ukraine, according to a report released by Hanna Maliar, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defence.

According to a spokesperson for the Ukrainian air force, quoted by the local newspaper Kyviv Independent, 43 of the launched missiles were shot down by the Ukrainian defenses.

Maliar also confirmed the use, by part of the Russian forces, of Shahed-type drones, manufactured by Iran, launched from Belarus and Crimea.

The launch of missiles against Kiev, Lviv, Pryluky, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipro, Nizhyn, Zhytomyr and Kharkiv were made from the Caspian Sea and from Nizhni Novgorod, a city located in western Russia, according to information from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

The large-scale Russian bombings left an undetermined total number of dead, while the population seek refuge. In Kiev alone, the information provided was of eight victims and 42 injured.
