Russian President Vladimir Putin warned this Wednesday (372 ) that the country will respond with a “lightning” attack to any foreign strategic interference in Ukraine.

“If anyone, I insist, proposes to interfere in the current events and create unacceptable strategic threats to Russia, he must know that our response attacks will be lightning, fast”, threatened Putin, during a speech at the Council of Parliamentarians in St. Petersburg.

Putin stressed that Russia has “all the instruments for that”, in allusion to the hypersonic missiles it has.

“(Armaments) that now no one can presume. And we’re not going to brag. We will use them if necessary. And I want everyone to know that”, he emphasized.

O Kremlin chief again accused the West of turning Ukraine into an “anti-Russia” country and pushing it into confrontation, to attack the Crimean peninsula and the Donbass region – both under Russian control – and of possessing weapons. nuclear plants and open chemical and biological laboratories.

“That’s why that our reaction to these cynical plans was correct and timely”, said the Russian leader, defending the invasion of Ukrainian territory by his country.

He ensured that all the objectives of the current military campaign would be achieved, including the security of the Russians and the people of the self-proclaimed People’s Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, whose independence was recognized by Moscow.

Earlier this week, the Minister of Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned that the danger of nuclear war ar “is serious, it’s real, it shouldn’t be underestimated”.

Russia has recently tested the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile which, according to Putin, “is capable of surpassing all modern means of anti-missile defense” and “has no analogues in the world”.
