Purusha Pretham is all set to have its ott release and the film will be available for streaming from 24 March 2023 on Sonyliv.
In the trailer for the upcoming Malayalam film Purusha Pretham (also known as Male Ghost), what initially appears to be a ghost story quickly morphs into a heady combination of dark comedy and drama. The film was directed by Krishand, whose last work, Aavasavyuham, received high praise from film critics and was honored with the Kerala state award for best film and best screenplay in 2021. The leading parts of Purusha Pretham are played by Darshana Rajendran, Prasanth Alexander, and Devaki Rajendran, respectively. On March 24, the movie will be made available for streaming on the OTT platform SonyLIV.
The preview, which was released on Thursday, March 16, depicts Prasanth and Jagadish, two of the members of the police squad, as they investigate a crime. Once Darshana enters the station to report about a body that was found in a river, a quick song starts playing. During this song, numerous characters walk by, and the character Sebastian (Prasanth) is described as being strange. When compared to the unconventional Aavasavyuham, the preview gives the impression of a totally different offering.

Earlier in his career, Director Krishand directed a few movies in the Malayalam language. Two of those movies, ‘Aavasavyuham: The Arbit Documentation of an Amphibian Hunt’ and ‘Vrithakrithiyulla Chathuram – A Minor Inconvenience,’ particularly exemplified his singular approach to the art of filmmaking and gained recognition for the unorthodox manner in which they told the story.
Krishand is the director of the film “Purusha Pretham,” while Jomon Jacob, Dijo Augustine, Einstin Zac Paul, Alexander Prasanth, Sajin S Raj, and Vishnu Rajan are the producers of the film under the united umbrellas of Humanity Cinemas, Einstin Media pvt ltd, and Symmetry cinemas production. Ajmal Hasbulla will be responsible for composing the film’s score, Krishand will direct the film’s cinematography, and Suhail Backer will be in charge of editing.
