Thursday was the day when Netflix announced the date of the internet release of the newest Malayalam film, titled Pulimada. Pulimada, which has Joju George and Aishwarya Rajesh in the leading roles, will be made accessible via streaming on November 23.

following their original premiere in theatres, new titles from the South typically do not become available on OTT platforms for at least four weeks following its initial release. On the other hand, Pulimada will be available for streaming earlier than normal. The movie was initially shown in theatres for the first time on October 26.

Pulimada OTT Release Date

Pulimada is all set to premiere on 23 November 2023 on Netflix.

The narrative is set in a hilly village in Wayanad, with Vincent’s house in a remote area surrounded by forest. Veteran cinematographer Venu beautifully captures the geography to suggest how the family has been ostracized.

Shaped by his upbringing, Vincent is firm in certain beliefs he imbibed from his late father. Like, not having a bathroom in his house just because his father didn’t like it. A product of patriarchy, he is unconcerned about his partner’s wishes, which include her desire to work after marriage. AK Saajan builds a strong foundation for a gripping character study, and Joju, as always, is effortlessly convincing.

When and Where to Watch Pulimada

You can watch this thriller on Netflix from 23 November 2023.

Sajan-Joju, AK Sajan The George film Pulimada has recently been made available to the public with the interesting title of a man who simultaneously transforms into a tiger and a butterfly. Through their respective social media profiles, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Vijay Sethupathi, and Asif Ali all disseminated the teaser for Pulimada to the world.

The fact that the film’s trailer does not reveal all that will be shown in the film leaves the viewers with questions, which is one reason why the trailer manages to pique their interest. It’s possible that Joju’s acting chops will be put to the test once again in Pulimada. Even before it has been released in theatres, this movie has already generated a lot of buzz among moviegoers.

In addition to that, the initial poster for the film garnered a lot of attention. Penninte Sugandam, which translates to “Scent of a Woman,” is the title of the movie. In the upcoming movie Pulimada, starring Joju, the leading ladies will be played by Aishwarya Rajesh and Lijomol. The movie will be distributed across India.

What’s the story of Pulimada

Our hero, Vincent, is a member of the law enforcement community. His upbringing was quite difficult since he lost his mother when he was still a very young child, and she was a lady who struggled with mental illness. Vincent is concerned that the characteristics of his mother’s psychiatric troubles are present in him, and he attributes the rumours that have led to the postponement of his wedding to this concern. What we witness in Pulimada is about one particular night when Vincent completely loses it after the last-minute cancellation of his wedding.

Cast & Crew of The Pulimada

The screenplay was written by AK Sajan, and Aishwarya Rajesh plays the role of the film’s female protagonist. Pulimada is the film that marks the return of Venu, a well-known cinematographer and director, to the director’s chair after an absence of eight years.

In addition to Sona Nair, Jolly Chirayath, Shibla, Balachandra Menon, and Abu Salim, the film also stars Chemban Vinod Jose, Lijomol, Jaffer Idukki, Johny Antony, Jeo Baby, Krishnaprabha, Abin Bino, Pauly Valasan, and Abin Bino.

Lant Cinemas and Einstein Media are the production companies that brought this movie to the screen. It was produced by Einstein Zack Paul and Rajesh Damodaran.

In order to pull off this role, Joju George alternates between being extremely innocent and acting in a fiercely animalistic manner.

In spite of the fact that the transformation scene that took place in the church at the beginning appeared rather staged, the performance was consistent throughout the latter parts. And I feel obligated to point out that the movie is watchable when it enters that feel-good kind of area because of the sincerity with which he plays his character in the last act.

Aishwarya Rajesh plays the role of Mahishmathi, the mystery girl, with a level of assurance that would make that character convincing on screen, despite the fact that this is a character in which we haven’t seen her very much.

Chemban Vinod Jose is present in his role as a close buddy of Vincent and demonstrates his typical demeanour. The cast also includes individuals such as Jaffar Idukki, Johny Antony, Lijomol Jose, Jeo Baby, Balachandra Menon, and Krishnaprabha, amongst others.
