After criticism and debates, the agency’s director general, Tedros Ghebreyesus, also acknowledged that it was premature to discard the hypothesis of the origin of the virus in the laboratory. At the moment, the evidence is not enough to conclude for the zoonotic origin or the laboratory leak.
