The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed this Thursday (9) the death of Brazilian André Luis Hack Bahi, from 24 years, who fought in the war in Ukraine as a member of the International Legion of Territorial Defense of the country invaded by Russia in
of February.
In a statement, the Itamaraty pointed out that Bahi died “as a result of the conflict in that country and maintains contact with family members to provide them with all appropriate assistance, in accordance with current international treaties and local legislation.”
On Twitter, the ministry added that the Brazilian government “advises dislocations of Brazilians to Ukraine, until there are sufficient security conditions in the country”.
“Itamaraty strongly recommends that Brazilians remaining in Ukraine immediately contact the support office in Lviv, so that nationals interested in leaving the country can be removed and those who wish to stay identified” , informed the Itamaraty, which reiterated the telephone number of the consular duty in Lviv (+214660 1563) and Telegr am from the Embassy of Brazil in Kyiv for this purpose.
