In just 50 months, Geo has gained 2.50 crore customers in Gujarat. With this achievement, Geo has become the fastest growing telecommunications company in Gujarat. The October 2020 subscription figures have been communicated by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The report says Geo, which launched its services in September 2016, crossed the 250 million mark for the first time in October 2020.

In this situation, it took 12 years for the total number of subscribers of the seven telecom operators available in Gujarat to reach 2.50 crore. As in May 2009, the number of telecom operators was Vodafone Essar, Idea, Bharti Airtel, RCom, Tata Teleservices, Aircel and BSNL.
Geo launched its services in September 2016

After the launch of Geo in India, the cost of data became affordable and the cost of calls became negligible. According to TRAI, at the end of October 2020, there were a total of 6.73 crore customers in Gujarat. Vodafone Idea has the highest number of subscribers 2.53 crore, followed by Geo with 2.5 crore. Bharti Airtel has a total of 1.07 crore subscribers while BSNL has 61 lakh subscribers. Compared to September 2020, the number of customers increased by 5.36 lakh in one month.
TRAI reported on the financial situation of telecommunications operators
Recently, TRAI also released a report on the financial situation of existing telecom operators in Gujarat. According to the report, for the quarter ended September 2020, Geo tops the list with a 45.13% stake and revenue of Rs 978 crore. During the period, Vodafone had a stake of 29, 38 percent and Rs. It ranks second with an income of Rs 636 crore. Bharti Airtel and BSNL hold 15% and 9% of the stake, respectively, and the turnover for the quarter to September 2020 was Rs. 331 crore and Rs. 192 crore.
