How long will Georgia be incarcerated? Although she is resilient, life has taken a toll on her, and this might be the final straw. Deadline attempted to contact Ginny & Georgia creator Sarah Lampert the day after season two became available on Netflix to obtain some answers to these queries.
Sadly, Lampert reports that “there have been no discussions with Netflix for Season 3”. We will have to wait to see how it performs and whether Season 3 will air, but I sincerely hope it will since it promises to be an exciting adventure. But how can this conceivable third season be structured? Lampert says there are “a lot of really fantastic alternatives” for who will eventually take care of Ginny and Austin.
“If Georgia is accused of committing this crime, Zion, Ginny’s father, and Gill are now involved. Lampert continues. And depends on how many surprises we want to include in Season 3, which I’m not saying much about, but we do plan on doing. What about Marcus and Ginny? Is that romance truly over forever? Alternatively, may we continue to ship Gincus, Mary, or whichever name you prefer?
All bets are off for Season 3, according to Lampert, who spoke to Deadline. “Who knows, perhaps there are new characters. Season 3 is still pending. We have everything prepared and have very specific ideas about how we want it to appear. But once you’re in the writers room, everything always changes because so many more ideas are brought to the table and so many more minds are present.”

Once more, it all hinges on whether it is renewed. Once production gets underway, fans will probably have a better sense of when the show will return. Hopefully, season 3’s release date won’t be as delayed as season 2’s. The first season was made available in February 2021, and the second one followed nearly two years later in January 2023.
