The date for the relaunch of “Futurama” on Hulu has been set.
Hulu will stream brand-new episodes of the popular animated science fiction series, which is now in its eighth season, on July 24. Following that, fresh episodes will air on Mondays, with Season 11 (or Season 8, depending on how you slice it) consisting of ten episodes. Hulu commissioned a total of 20 episodes in February 2022. The teaser for the first season, which is also accessible on Hulu, is displayed below.
This is the second time the show has been resurrected since its premiere in 1999. Reruns of the show were revived after its first four-season run on Fox as part of Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim lineup and on DVD.
Then came four direct-to-video films, which were eventually re-edited into a fifth season that premiered on Comedy Central in 2008. Comedy Central would go on to air two more seasons, each with 26 episodes, between 2010 and 2013.
The official synopsis of the new season reads, “Fresh viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognise payoffs to decades-long mysteries.” “These mysteries include advances in Fry and Leela’s epic love story, the strange contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the wicked Robot Santa’s secret history, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles.”
A new epidemic has arrived in town as the gang explores the future of vaccines, cryptocurrency, cancel culture, and streaming TV.
The original series’ voice actors included Billy West, Katey Sagal, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, and David Herman. Originally not scheduled to appear in the new episodes, John DiMaggio, best known for his portrayal as Bender, announced his presence in March 2022.
Matt Groening and David X. Cohen created the show. Both are executive producers, as are Ken Keeler and Claudia Katz. Rough Draft Studios produces the series’ animation, while 20th Television Animation is the producing firm.

Lovers of the beloved animated series “Futurama” can celebrate, as Hulu has confirmed the date for the show’s comeback.
