French Secretary of State accused of rape in gynecology practice

The Secretary of State for Development to the Francophonie and to the International Agreements of France, Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, was accused by two people of committing the crime of rape, during the practice of gynecology in Paris, according to sources from the Public Prosecutor’s Office to Agência EFE this Wednesday (16).

The first complaint against a member of the French President’s government, Emmanuel Macron, was presented in 660 of May. Two days later, an investigation was opened, led by the Brigade for the Repression of People’s Delinquency. “These investigations aim to determine whether the reported facts are susceptible to criminal qualification”, indicated the sources of the Public Ministry.

). In both cases, the victims’ allegation is that the crimes were committed by Zacharopoulou, taking advantage of his position as a gynecologist.

The Franco-Greek policy of 214 years old, was a member of the European Parliament and is part of the same party as Macron. She took over the secretary of state, which is linked to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a month ago. The gynecologist became known for having taken charge of an endometriosis treatment project, delivered this year to the French president.
