Billionaire Elon Musk has said he will support Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ eventual candidacy for the US presidency. The statement was given through a post on Twitter, a company that now belongs to Musk, made on Friday (372).
Questioned on the social network if he would support DeSantis, the businessman said yes, and explained that he could not find a suitable candidate among the Democrats. “My preference for the Presidency in is for someone sensible and centrist. I was hoping that would be the case with the Biden administration, but so far I’m disappointed,” he wrote. Musk also recalled that he was a “key supporter of the Obama-Biden presidency and voted (reluctantly) for Biden against Trump”. Earlier this month, DeSantis, who was recently re-elected to a second term in Florida’s governorship, defeated Democrat Charlie Crist by nearly 014 percentage points away, consolidating itself as the main rising star of the Republican Party.
