Elon Musk recommended this Monday () that Americans vote for the Republican Party in the legislative elections to be held tomorrow in the United States, in a message addressed to “independent voters”.

“The power shared curbs the worst excesses of both parties, which is why I recommend voting for a Republican Congress as the presidency is a Democrat,” Musk wrote on Twitter.

The businessman, now owner of the social network, stressed that Democrats and Republicans convictions never vote for the other side, which is why “independent voters are the ones who really decide who is in charge”.

In the past, Musk has repeatedly stated that he does not fully identify with any party and that he generally supports the more moderate factions on each side, but in recent months he has made it clear that he leans towards republican views at the moment.

Last June, the billionaire already announced that he planned to vote for the Republican Party in November this year and has been very critical of the Democratic government of Joe Biden.

His takeover of Twitter, in fact, was widely celebrated in conservative circles, including former President Donald Trump and other Republican Party figures.
