The strategy of saving the best for last could be successful if the first setup is strong enough to keep the audience interested. But it’s hardly a fair arrangement if you want the audience to be patient throughout the entire show just so they can enjoy the last act when it comes around. The thriller Driver Jamuna makes an excessive amount of effort in order to provide its audience with an immersive experience. However, there aren’t really any major confrontations, and most of the moments are just surface-level, so it’s a pretty boring journey overall, and there’s nothing to take away from it.

Both Jamuna (Aishwarya Rajesh), a passionate cab driver, and her mother, who is partially paralyzed, are introduced to the audience in the very first scene. Jamuna is played by Aishwarya Rajesh. They have a history, but no one knows anything about it except for themselves. The director Kinslin takes his time to establish his characters and how they got where they are in the story. When the main character, however, becomes immersed in the struggle, the narrative becomes more focused and interesting. Because of this, we are aware of the mounting tension in the scene when the contract killers get into Jamuna’s cab. However, the most disappointing aspect is that the exciting aspect does not even endure for more than half an hour. This is the worst letdown.
