Driver dies, two journalists injured in Ukraine attack

Two journalists from the Reuters news agency were slightly injured in eastern Ukraine during an attack en route to Severodonetsk. The driver who was with them died, in a car provided by pro-Russian separatists, the international agency announced on Friday (03).

“They were shot when they were on the road,” the spokesman said. No other details were specified regarding the identity of the journalists and their state of health.

On Monday (03), the journalist of the French channel BFMTV, Frédéric Leclerc-Imhoff, was killed in a Russian bombing during a humanitarian operation, as confirmed on Twitter by the head of French diplomacy, Catherine Colonna.

According to the NGO Reporters Without Borders, at least eight journalists have been killed while working on Ukrainian soil since the Russian invasion in February.
