Court Movie Story

The narrative of Court – State Vs A Nobody centers around a 19-year-old boy named Chandrashekhar (played by Harsh Roshan), the son of a humble watchman. He falls in love with Jabili (played by Sridevi), a 17-year-old girl from an influential and affluent family.

Their budding romance, though innocent and genuine, invites trouble when Jabili’s authoritarian uncle Mangapathi (portrayed by Sivaji) discovers the relationship.  Mangapathi, who is obsessed with social image and family honor, manipulates the system to fabricate a criminal case against Chandrashekhar.

He uses his influence, bribes the police, and falsely implicates the boy under the POCSO Act, a law designed to protect minors from abuse. What was a pure teenage romance suddenly turns into a courtroom battle, as Chandrashekhar becomes the victim of systemic abuse and corruption.

Enter Surya Teja (played by Priyadarshi Pulikonda), a passionate junior lawyer who dreams of handling a case independently and bringing about real change. Moved by Chandrashekhar’s plight, Surya takes up the case and stands against the powerful forces trying to crush an innocent life.

The story then unfolds in courtrooms, interrogation rooms, and police stations, highlighting both the challenges within the legal system and the courage it takes to fight for justice.

Cast and Crew of Court Movie

The performances in Court have played a major role in its success: Priyadarshi Pulikonda as Surya Teja brings honesty and vulnerability to the role of a young lawyer. His portrayal has earned him wide appreciation and marks a significant milestone in his career.

Harsh Roshan as Chandrashekhar delivers a powerful performance filled with innocence and agony. Sridevi portrays Jabili with grace, capturing the turmoil of a teenager caught between love and family oppression. Sivaji as Mangapathi is ruthless and commanding, perfectly essaying the role of a powerful antagonist.

P. Sai Kumar, Harsha Vardhan, Rohini Molleti, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Surabhi Prabhavathi, and Rajasekhar Aningi round off the cast with strong supporting roles that enhance the film’s emotional depth and authenticity.

The soul of Court is elevated by Vijay Bulganin’s background score and music. His compositions, though minimal, are impactful and complement the film’s emotional beats. The film’s cinematography and editing are crisp, maintaining a serious tone throughout the runtime while keeping the narrative flowing at a gripping pace.

Its success is also a testament to Nani’s vision as a producer. His banner, Wall Poster Cinema, has previously backed meaningful content, and Court further strengthens that legacy.
