The central government has ordered the ED and RBI to take action on Amazon and Walmart’s Flipkart. These companies are accused of having violated the FDI policy and the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
The Confederation of All Indian Traders (CAIT) has long called for action against these companies. It is believed that on this basis, the central government ordered the ED and RBI to take action. CAIT National President BC Bharatiya and General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal recently met with Union Trade Minister Piyush Goyal on this matter.
