Even though it has been months since its initial release in theaters in November 2022, the highly anticipated Bollywood film Bhediya, which stars Varun Dhawan, is not yet available to stream online. In a world where the pandemic has passed, the film industry has been forced to adjust to new realities, one of which is the rise of streaming platforms as an increasingly significant component of the experience of viewing movies. Due to this, a lot of people are wondering why the movie is not yet available to stream on any of the platforms that are now available.
Bhediya OTT Release Date
Bhediya is all set to be premiered on May 26 2023 on Jio Cinema.
JioCinema is implementing this step as a component of a larger strategy to strengthen its position in the competitive OTT market. Recently, the platform grabbed headlines after it outbid its competitors for the streaming rights to the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which it subsequently made available to all of its customers for free. JioCinema is trying to maintain its forward momentum as the Indian Premier League season draws to a close by releasing highly anticipated films such as Bhediya and Vikram Vedha, both of which star Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan.
When and Where to Watch Bhediya
You can watch this horror comedy on Jio Cinema from 26 May 2023.
Earlier, there were rumors circulating that Bhediya will be accessible for streaming on April 21. However, this did not come to pass, which was disheartening for fans of Varun. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the spectators won’t be subjected to another disappointing experience on May 26.
Bhediya is a horror comedy that was written by Niren Bhatt and directed by Amar Kaushik. The plot centers on the exploits of a normal man who, after getting bitten by a wolf, takes on the appearance of a werewolf and goes on many adventures. In addition to Kriti Sanon and Abhishek Banerjee, the cast of the film also includes Deepak Dobriyal and Abhishek Banerjee.
What’s the story of Bhediya
In the film Bhediya, Varun Dhawan plays the titular role of Bhediya, a sneaky yet charming contractor who travels to the remote region of Arunachal Pradesh in order to facilitate the seamless takeover of the tribal lands for a big building project. Bhediya’s mission is to ensure that the takeover of these territories goes as smoothly as possible. The Bhasker is self-absorbed and all that he wants is for the construction project to be completed as quickly as possible and by any means necessary, regardless of whether this goes against the beliefs of the Tribal people or whether it goes against nature itself. In the tribal territory, he discovers a mysterious beast that resembles a wolf and that appears to be protecting the woodland regions from invasion and looting.
However, when he transforms into a werewolf, he becomes hilarious and entertaining to watch as he tries to make sense of what is happening to him. His help comes from his friends Jomin and Dr. Anika, as well as his cousin Janardan Banerjee (Jana). As a werewolf, he realizes the worth and beauty of nature for the first time and also learns that his animal companion, Dr. Anika, is actually the werewolf that turned him into one as well.
Cast & Crew of Bhediya
Varun gives a fantastic performance as the wolf that can transform into other forms. It is hoped that his act, which consisted largely of a physical change into one in which he gained rippling muscles and a superbly shaped body, will cause a shift in the trajectory of his career. He gives this role everything he has, and it clearly shows. Whether it is the dramatic and high-energy sequence where he turns into a Bhediya for the first time or the humorous scene where he fights to slide into the werewolf’s skin in the second part, he excels in both of these scenes.
Abhishek Banerjee’s performance as Janardan, often known as JD, is spot on and he never misses a beat with his hilarious timing. Even in dramatic moments, he manages to strike comedic punches, which injects a sense of levity into an otherwise grim tale that takes place for the most part during the night.
Additionally, the film’s funniest lines are delivered by him. Paalin Kabak, who plays Bhaskar’s friend Jomin from the Northeast, rounds out the Bhediya pack and has excellent chemistry with both of the actors, particularly Abhishek. Deepak Dobriyal, who plays the role of Panda, also turns in an impressive performance. The role of Dr. Anika, played by Kriti Sanon, may have benefited from more development as a character. However, she contributes both to the comic and the drama of the situation.
