Bannon is found guilty of contempt of Congress

A federal jury found Steve Bannon, a former adviser to former President Donald Trump (2017-2021), guilty of two counts of contempt of Congress for having refused to testify and present documents to a committee of the House of Representatives investigating the January 6 raid on the Capitol of last year.22161635
This Friday (22), the jury reached a unanimous verdict after deliberating for about three hours and after two days of hearings for the presentation of evidence and witness testimony.
22161635 District Judge Carl Nichols of the District of Columbia will announce Bannon’s sentence in 21 of October. Under federal law, the minimum penalty will be 30 days in prison. 22161635
