Game of Thrones, Season 8: to include movie-length episodes in 2019

Winterfell/Jon Snow

Season eight is planned to hit screens early next year, but fans can’t anticipate any expectations from the show since the writers of the show have broken away the plot of the show from George R.R. Martin’s books, on which the series is based.

George R.R. Martin’s five books which provided the basis for the episodes, but fans are waiting since seven years for the next book — The Winds Of Winter.

The actor, who plays Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), famous as half-man, admitted the end of the show will be “heartbreaking”.

Deborah who is the art director of the fantasy epic since the fourth season said there would be only 6 episodes, but they would huge, and surprising.

Kudos to the HBO’s new security measures, nothing on high scale has leaked about season 8. Except that episode would be less but longer would be about 3 hours each.

Some new information about season 8 was leaked online, and while no source guarantee they’re genuine and true, they at least give the appearance of being legitimate, when compared to leaks from season 7

If you want to continue the suspense and wait until the show is aired, don’t read below. Few leaks, similar to information release before the launch of season 7

Episode 3, Season 8

  • Tyrion, Arya, Sansa, Brienne, Podrick and the Hound are all in a wagon; The Hound is driving the wagon. They are racing through a camp being overrun by wights.. At the end of the page, they’re boarded by a Dothraki wight. Or the wagon might crash first.

Episode 5, Season 8

  • Jaime and Cersei are arguing in the Red Keep throne room, the mountain the mute is there. Cersei has Jon Snow in prison, Cersei is fighting with Jaime for abandoning her “in a time of need”, and Jaime is trying to convince her that fighting the enemies like White Walkers is better for survival than battling Jon and Daenerys.
  • It sounds like the city is getting besieged by someone, very likely the White Walkers. To stop them, Cersei is about to do the unthinkable in aggression and Jaime is not pleased with her strategy.
  • It’s not explicitly mentioned but she’s going to blow up the city with wildfire rather than let it fall.
  • Brienne and the Hound ride through the streets of the city on their way to the Red Keep.

Episode 6

  • It sounds like the White Walker threat has been reduced, and Daenerys (or some other “queen”) is in power. Bronn lamenting while traveling with Tyrion that he’ll likely never get that castle, which Jaime promised to Bronn and has “gotten himself killed.”

Five young female porn stars dead in three months trigger spate of deaths

Porn death

Olivia Lua, Olivia Nova, August Ames, Turi Luv, and Shyla Stylez., the five women belonging to the adult film industry, died in less than 3 months.

Derek Hay of L.A. Direct Models, which worked with both Lua and Nova, said it was a “coincidence” sudden deaths in such a short time.

He claimed these deaths could have been prevented by safeguards in place to reduce depression or drug abuse. Stress which porn stars get at the job they do and attacks from online trolls. Stress can be another reason causing these deaths.

One common thing amongst these five deaths other than profession is age.

Olivia Lua was 23-years and died in Rehab, California facility.

Nova 20-year-old was found dead on Jan. 7 in Las Vegas.

Ames, 23, hung herself in December 2017, after she was bullied and mocked by the mockers online and called homophobic for refusal to on-camera sex with men who had done gay porn.

August Ames’ husband, Kevin Moore, told online mockers have “her blood on your hands” and that August had screenshotted every single abusive message she has received for him to know the pain and shame she had faced

Turi Luv, died due to a drug overdose, in December 2017. Luv was 31-year-old.

Recently retired from the porn film industry, Shyla Stylez, 35-year-old, died in November 2017 in her sleep. She worked in the industry for over 10 years.

These sudden deaths in months happened across the US and Canada. Primary cause suspected are suicide, accidental overdose, and UTIs.

Olivia Lua’s family and close friends had a deep concern at the heavy dosage of prescription drugs Olivia was taking and the danger this caused to her. it is believed, mixing of prescription drugs along with recreational drugs or alcohol, are the primary cause of her passing.

It is not clear if any of the five adult film actors who have died in short gap knew one another.

So far, there has been no proof of a link between any of their deaths other than the fact that they were all young and porn stars.

Adult actress Raven Hart told one magazine: “If you get into this business really young, and you are already predisposed to your own personal issues of depression or whatever else, working in porn may intensify your issues, this is not a career for everyone. When you are younger you get taken advantage of more and if you don’t stand up for yourself or you don’t make it known that you are a professional, then these types of things can happen.”

The reasons for death at such a young age are unexplored but Societal jibe and norm has exacerbated the deaths

Computer Program that Calculates Jail house tenure in U.S is more racist than Humans

US Jails

Before an accused person is sentenced, is required to take a quiz. It is for those who commit crimes in some U.S. states. Crime accused are required to take a 137-question quiz.

A software program called Correctional Offender Management Profiling for Alternative Sanctions, or COMPAS has a list of question and it then calculates the sentence based on risk analysis. It includes risk for reoffending, and help a judge determine a sentence based on that risk assessment.

A computer program used to calculate jailhouse tenure is less accurate, more expensive and racially biased than a random human assigned for the same task.

The questions, ranging from queries about a person’s criminal history, are part of this software program.

This program was researched by Dartmouth researchers, who claimed that random, untrained people could assess about a person’s criminal better than the expensive software could.

COMPAS is meant to crunch the numbers on a person’s life, determine their risk for reoffending, and help a judge determine a sentence based on that risk assessment.

Few questions like substance parents’ of the criminal use, to or “do you feel discouraged at times?”

Take Eric Loomis, man from Michigan arrested in 2013, who pled guilty to attempting to flee a police officer,

While the offense was not violent, COMPAS assessed Loomis’s history and reported him as having “a high risk of violence, recidivism, high pretrial risk.” Loomis was sentenced to six years in prison based on the COMPAS assessment.

COMPAS analyzed answers to the 137-question quiz, which asks questions about the person’s criminal history, social life, family history, and opinions. The questionnaire does not ask a person’s race.  But those about parents’ arrest history, neighborhood crime, and a person’s economic stability — appear biased against black defendants, who are disproportionately imprisoned or underpaid in the U.S.

A 2016 ProPublica investigation analyzed the software’s results across 7,000 cases in Broward County, Florida, and found that COMPAS often evaluates a person’s risk for practicing future crimes. These incorrect assessments nearly doubled among black defendants as compared to white defendants.

Women’s March 2018-UK, in heavy snow and sleet.

Women's March in UK

Over thousand women turned out back past the memorial to women in the second world war, protesters chanted “Time’s up” and “We want justice not revenge” on Sunday.

The event organized by Women’s March London, a similar protest in 2017 shut down central London.

The event was named as Time’s Up rally, launched in January by women in Hollywood to counter sexual misconduct in the entertainment business and workplaces following the Weinstein scandal and #MeToo movement.

#MeToo movement started with countless allegations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. But soon, personal experiences began pouring in from women in several industries across the world, and the hashtag #MeToo became a rallying cry against sexual assault and harassment at workplace.

The US election proved a catalyst for a grassroots movement of women to assert the positive values that the politics of fear denies.  Last year January 21, 2017, on the first day of Donald Trump’s Presidency, women-led marches, welcoming all participants, which took place across the world, with the scale being largest in Washington D.C.

Exactly one year later, really happened in London, again to stand up against the heinous crime of gender inequality and sexual harassment by men at workplace

Activists across the globe gave speeches at Time’s Up rally in support of equal rights, sexual harassment, and misconduct.

The Labor MP Stella Creasy gave one of the most igneous speech. Creasy said: “A year ago, everyone told us this was a flash in the pan. They said women will march and then they’ll go home and nothing will change. That’s the point. Everything has to change because #MeToo isn’t just some hashtag, it’s saying we’re not going to cope anymore, we’re going to change the rules.”

People chanted across from British Prime Minister Theresa May’s office on Sunday with posters reading “We Are Powerful” and “Time’s Up” commemorating the anniversary of U.S. President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Emma McNally, the core organizers of the March, said Sunday’s rally went extraordinarily despite snow and sleet.

“We’re so pleased to see everyone out in great numbers on a day when the weather is absolutely atrocious, but that just says it all. Time is up. People are sick of it. We’re constantly being sold there is no alternative, but we’re not having it anymore.”

Indian space agency ISRO to achieve historic feat by landing Chandrayaan-2 on Moon

Now India is all set to mark its presence on the moon. The last time any country put boots on the moon was in 2013 when China landed its Yutu rover. Before that, you’d have to see back to the 1970s to find anything made by Earthlings that lodged out on the surface of the Moon. ISRO is getting ready to land its very first lunar rover by the end of March 2018, as part of its Chandrayaan-2 mission. This is not ISRO’s first mission towards the moon, but it is the Indian government’s most ambitious moon research project till date.

Chandrayaan-1 Fired off from Sriharikota island off the East coast of India in 2008, at an evaluated value of $83 million. The ISRO’s 5 foot by 5-foot cube made it into lunar orbit and discovered some “magmatic water” on a moon pit.

Then, on November 14, 2008, the spacecraft smashed into the moon and got missed in lunar orbit before NASA noticed the “derelict spacecraft” over in 2016.

ISRO is now developing three unmanned vehicles for the mission established in India involving an orbiter spacecraft to float above the moon’s surface, a rover, and a lander to help the landing of the rover safely on the moon. This lunar mission will utilize and test several new technologies and conduct more experiments. The wheeled rover will drive on the lunar surface and will perform a chemical investigation on site. The information will be transmitted to Earth through the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter.

Chandrayaan-2, India’s second mission to the Moon is an entirely original mission including of an Orbiter, Lander and Rover. After approaching the 100 km lunar orbit, the Lander covering the Rover will depart from the Orbiter. After a controlled fall, the Lander will soft land on the lunar surface at a particularised site and dispose of the Rover.

This mission will carry a six-wheeled Rover which will travel around the landing site in the semi-autonomous mode as chosen by the ground commands. The instruments on the rover will examine the lunar surface and send back data, which will be useful for investigation of the lunar soil. The Chandrayaan-2 is measuring around 3290 kg and would orbit around the moon and achieve the objectives of remote sensing the moon. The payloads will accumulate scientific information on lunar topography, mineralogy, elemental abundance, lunar exosphere and signs of hydroxyl and water-ice. As per the space agency, scientists will use Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV Mk II) to lift up the lunar lander in early parts of 2018. This will be the ISRO’s first effort to get a more refined and precise up-close look at the lunar surface.

The Indian space agency started taking giant leaps in the space field of space exploration with its Chandrayaan-1 mission which was followed by the award winning Mars Orbiter Mission. The Indian Space Research Organisation also won Space Pioneer Award 2015 for the Mangalyaan mission and got featured in Time’s magazine. Other countries have also started calling upon ISRO for their satellite launches. The next lunar mission will further strengthen ISRO’s foothold in space exploration.

As  Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region explained, India has emerged as one of the successful nations in the field of Space and made the dreams of the founders of the Indian Space Program come true which included eminent personalities like Vikram Sarabhai and Satish Dhawan. The guest of honour at this inaugural session, ISRO Chief AS Kiran Kumar states the various measures being taken by ISRO to help through the disaster management across the nation.

As reported in the plans by ISRO, the Chandrayaan-2 mission shall have a lunar orbiter along with a soft lander as well as a semi-autonomous rover. To help through the increased payload, ISRO has been planning to use the GSLV MKII on behalf of its “workhorse” rocket, PSLV which was used for the first Moon mission. The lander, rover and the orbiter will be performing some mineralogical and elemental studies of the lunar surface during its course of stay beyond Earth.

Earlier in a press meet, confirmed the current head of ISRO – Mr AS Kiran Kumar in a press meet. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)’s second Moon exploration mission is going to hit the skies in the first quarter of 2018.

The ISRO person in command – Mr AS Kiran Kumar, while presenting his speech at the seventh yearly convocation of Vels University, Chennai on Wednesday confirmed that India’s most ambitious lunar mission is currently in the experimental stage and are being tested for a controlled touchdown of moon’s surface during the landing time. At the first quarter of next year, the spacecraft will take wings into skies.

According to the statement of ISRO’ head, the agency is currently busy in developing an engine that enables astronomers and scientists to make the spacecraft a controlled landing on the surface of the moon. The mission is currently scheduled to have effect in the first quarter of 2018. ISRO’s scientists have already developed an artificial crater that will simulate the conditions of the lunar surface, resulting in a practical, convenient, and realistic landing try-out. Kiran Kumar, during his speech also revealed that a series of ground tests for the Chandrayaan-2 Mission is also in the pipeline and soon will be carried out in the research facilities of ISRO.

To recall, Chandrayaan-2 is the second lunar exploration mission of India, following the Chandrayaan-1, which was launched on 22 October 2008. Like its predecessor, the second lunar mission is entirely owned and operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and is planned to set afloat to the Moon in the first quarter of 2018. ISRO, through a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV Mk II), will send its second lunar space probe to the skies. The mission objectives include the launch of a lunar orbiter, a Lander and Lunar Rover, all developed by ISRO.

As stated by ISRO’s head earlier, the Chandrayaan-2 mission will embark new technologies and scientific advancements for conducting new experiments on Moon. The wheeled rover, which is included with the mission will be in motion on the surface of the moon for collecting the soil or rock samples of the moon, which later will be put for on-site chemical analysis. The aftermath of the experiment later will be transmitted to Earth through the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter. The second lunar mission will help India to gather a number of essential data regarding the only natural satellite of Earth. The mission will also mark India’s footstep in global space industry much stronger and deeper.

The war between non-life insurance and life insurance company

The war between non-life insurance and life insurance company

Mumbai/28-November-2017 (News release India) : The non-life insurance industry — which comprises auto, health and property, among others — is expected to grow at a faster pace compared to the life insurance industry in India, according to a report by Moody’s Investor Service. The ratings agency said in a report that the non-life industry, which accounts for 24% of total, has been growing faster than life with a five-year compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17% as against 8% for the life industry.

In the fiscal year ended March 31, 2017, the Indian combined insurance industry’s total gross premiums grew by 17% to Rs 5.5 lakh crore, bringing the five-year CAGR to 10%. Non-life premiums grew 32% in FY17 as against 13% for life insurance. “We expect this growth trajectory to continue in the short to medium term. Non-life premiums, growing from a smaller base, will continue to expand more quickly as higher household spending increases take-up of health and motor insurance,” the report said.

“We expect the non-life sector’s double-digit growth to continue over the next three-four years, driven by continued economic expansion and an associated increase in household spending. The large private insurers have benefited most, growing premiums by 42% year-on-year in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2017. These insurers are particularly well placed for continued expansion, given their strong brands and market positions,” the report said.

State-owned non-life insurers grew at a slower rate of 25% year-on-year. “This is because their underwriting profitability has been weak due to high claims expenses on their motor third-party and health books, while sales growth has put pressure on their capital adequacy. We therefore expect state-owned insurers to take a more cautious approach to growth than private market participants in the short term,” the report said.

The non-life industry is also expected to benefit from the recent opening up of the reinsurance market. Reinsurers help support the balance sheets of non-life companies by taking some of the risks off their books for a price. The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India admitted in 2017 eight private players to the Indian reinsurance market, which was previously a monopoly of state-owned General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re).
