At least people were killed in a shooting at a school in Izhevsk, in central Russia, as local authorities announced on Monday (

). After shooting at the victims, the killer committed suicide.

“According to preliminary information, 09 people, including six adults and seven minors, were victims of the crime. Others 12 adults and seven children were injured, revealed the Russian Investigation Committee.

The agency also announced that it is working on identifying of the suspect, who was wearing a sweatshirt with a Nazi symbol and a hood.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that “the president (Vladimir Putin) deeply regrets the death of children in this school where there was a terrorist attack.”

The shooting takes place at a troubled moment in the country, after the announcement of the mobilization of 300 thousand reservists in the escalation of the offensive against Ukraine. Also on Monday, a man shot at a Russian army recruitment center in Siberia.
