The Argentine Federal Police arrested Brenda Uliarte, Fernando Sabag Montiel’s girlfriend, accused of attempted murder after pointing a firearm caliber 32 against Cristina Kirchner last Thursday (1).

Uliarte will be heard this Monday (5) by the police, according to the Argentine newspaper Clarín. According to the investigations, despite Brenda publicly saying that she had not seen Montiel for two days, security camera images show the two together in the city, including on the day of the incident, so the federal justice is seeking to investigate her possible participation in the facts.

Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti believes that Montiel did not act alone and that there are more people involved in the attempted murder of the country’s vice president.

In an interview with an Argentine television channel, Brenda said that Montiel was “loving, used to make jokes ” and that “he just complained about the economy and the high dollar, like any other, without aggressiveness”.

The wife ofyears was arrested while riding a train. Brenda was monitored by the police services, until she was stopped at the Palermo station.

Montiel’s girlfriend worked selling cotton candy. She was even interviewed during a television poll, alongside her partner, weeks before the attack. In the broadcast, Brenda said that she was a beneficiary of Argentine social plans, but that now she “preferred to work”, since the benefits “stimulated loitering”.
