Anurag Kashyap is a director who has produced a number of commercially successful films over the past few years. In 2018, some of his films garnered positive reviews for the route that they took. On December 22, 2022, the director made the announcement that his upcoming film would be titled “Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat.”
Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat OTT Release Date
Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat is all set to have its ott release and the film will be premiered on Netflix on 31 march 2023.
The role of DJ Mohabbat, which Vicky Kaushal reprises from his 2018 film “Manmarziyan,” is intriguing, and the actor clearly enjoys playing the eccentric character. Newbie Karan Mehta has assurance and potential on camera. As Harmeet, he may be annoyingly over-the-top at times. Alaya F., as always, does a fantastic job of giving her character personality, and the performer is equally effective in both her glam and de-glam guises. Alaya is excellent in both her roles as a feisty small-town child who defies her male-dominated family and a bold, hopelessly-in-love Londoner.
When and Where to Watch Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat
You can watch this musical romantic drama on Netflix from March 31, 2023.
For Kashyap, the year 2018 looked to mark the beginning of a new era. Both Mukkabaaz and Manmarziyan came out that year, and they both had surprise leanings towards sweetness and hope while yet keeping (in Mukkabaaz notably) the spikiness that had characterized his career up to that point. Yet there was a transition, though not one I welcomed with open arms.

Choked, an oddly subdued demonetization comedy, was his next feature. Dobaaraa, released last year, has zero hallmarks of a Kashyap film. And now we have Nearly Pyaar, a movie that seems to have grown out of that uncomfortable urge: a director in his or her mid-40s trying to make “one for the kids.” As a result, there is a lot of fake-looking popping, locking, and Tik-Toking.
What’s the story of Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat
Amrita (Alaya F.) is a sweet and vivacious high school student who spends her time listening to DJ Mohabbat’s podcasts, making humorous Ting Tong videos while in disguise, and surreptitiously stealing CDs from the son of a local shop owner, Yaqub (Karan Mehta). She is obsessed with the DJ and would stop at nothing to go to his exclusive Holi festival in the hills. Her traditional Hindu family forbade her from leaving the house because she was spending time with the Muslim guy next door.

” Due to their obsession with DJ Mohabbat’s music, two young people run away from home, putting in motion a series of events that can only end badly. Harmeet (Karan Mehta), Yaqub’s doppelganger in this alternate universe, is working hard to build a name for himself as a young singer until Ayesha (Alaya F.), the spoiled affluent daughter of a Pakistani businessman living in London, becomes obsessed with him. There is no explanation for why she looks so much like Amrita when they are not even related.
Cast & Crew of Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat
The primary parts in Nearly Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat were played by Alaya F and Karan Mehra, while the film was written and directed by Anurag Kashyap. Good Bad Films is responsible for the movie’s production, and Zee Studios is the studio that is presenting it. Both Sylvester Fonseca and Konark Saxena contributed to the film in their respective capacities as cinematographers and editors, respectively. Amit Trivedi, an accomplished musician, contributed his work to the soundtrack of Nearly Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat.
Ayesha, the daughter of a billionaire in London, is head over heels in love with Harmeet, who works as a DJ at a nightclub. The passion shown by the girl far outweighs that shown by the boy, whose lack of enthusiasm has the potential to drive a wedge between the two of them. Harmeet is intent on establishing himself as a musician, thus he does not respond in kind to Ayesha’s attempts to get his attention. But love always finds a way to win out in the end.
Despite the fact that they come from different social classes and cultures, the schoolgirl Amrita in Dalhousie can’t resist Yaqub’s charms. The young lady makes reference to Mirza Ghalib as well as Amrita Pritam. The illiterate Yaqub has been swindled. Their histories are not compatible, but they are inextricably linked to one another because to the common interest they share in DJ Mohabbat.
